Hmm, too bad you don’t promote more “organic” meat, discussing how and why organic tastes better than regular old, full of stuff you don’t know about, chicken. So much more healthy for you, for the planet. However, I guess that wouldn’t gibe with the whole economic machine that you guys are part of. Or…what?

Thanks for the comment, Arthur. It’s our goal to promote all kinds of Canadian chicken – including organic. The key difference between organic and regular chickens is that they their feed must be 100% organic. All chickens in Canada are grain-fed and hormone free. This can create a different flavour, but there are no significant health advantages to organic chicken.

Theresa has written an excellent comparison of various types of chicken available in Canada, and for a more in-depth look at what chickens eat, we have a fact sheet that provides more information.
